The average cash Target Price discount has been consistently falling over recent months across the small SUVs segment, and is currently at 3.4% or £908 per car. While this is not good news for car buyers, small SUVs do at least still offer consumers the highest level of discount out of all the SUV segments featured in our Target Price inventory. This segment’s data average is weighted lower by several electric and low-volume sales models, such as the Dacia Sandero Stepway, Kia Soul and Ssangyong Tivoli, for which zero or very low Target Price discounts are typically available. After discounting the effect these models have on the segment average, the adjusted typically achievable cash Target Prices discount improves to 4.3% or £1023 per car. After allowing for dealer contributions towards the cost of manufacturer-backed finance offers, the total average cash Target Price discount is adjusted to £809 per car. These offers are linked to an average PCP APR that has decreased from 5.8% last month to 5.5% currently and include an additional £684 per car in finance deposit contributions (up from £545 per car last month) which means the combined (cash and finance) average Target Price saving across the segment is £1493 per car.If buyers are prepared to haggle, and be flexible on their next make of car, there are some good deals to be had. Jeep dealers will sanction an average 8% discount when selling Renegade versions, Nissan customers can haggle a typical 7.6% saving when buying Juke models, while an average 6% discount is available on Kia Stonic variants.[/logged_in]
