From electric SUVs to small hatchbacks, these are the models which have generated the most leads on What Car?’s New Car Buying service over the past month.Kia SportageVolvo XC40Ford PumaKia EV6Hyundai TucsonSkoda KamiqHonda JazzLexus NXTesla Model 3Toyota Yaris CrossToyota YarisToyota RAV4Dacia SanderoSkoda Enyaq iVVolkswagen TiguanVolkswagen GolfAudi A3Kia e-NiroVolkswagen PoloNissan QashqaiLast month’s star car in terms of leads was the Kia EV6, which jumped from out of nowhere to take fourth position on our table. While a five-star review and tempting Target Price discounts helped here (at the time of writing buyers can get an EV6 on their driveway for less than £525 per month) the single biggest factor explaining the EV6’s meteoric rise was its Car of the Year win. Announced in late January, the EV6 will enjoy significant promotion across the year, so can expect to become a common feature on many of our most-read lists.Elsewhere, a different Kia overtook the perennially popular Volvo XC40 to become the car generating the most leads on our New Car Buying platform. That model was the Sportage, itself the recipient of a four-star review and already available with discounts reaching close to £1000. It can’t all be good news, however, and having sat in third position on this table for most of December, the Toyota Yaris Cross fell significantly in January, despite being named as the winner of our True MPG Award at that month’s What Car? Awards. The small SUV market is especially competitive, mind, and with greater discounts available elsewhere, potential buyers may have decided to save big now, rather than accrue savings in the long term with reduced running costs.[/logged_in]
