Erik is the Director of Operations for INEOS Automotive. He’s responsible for the manufacturing and facility operations at the Hambach plant, as well as the preparations of the plant for production of the Grenadier.
Erik joined INEOS Automotive in April 2018 and brought more than 12 years of automotive manufacturing engineering and operations experience to the company.
He has held several senior management positions, including Senior Vice President at ValmetAutomotive, a Finnish vehicle contract manufacturer, and Senior Director at NEVS, a Swedish electric car manufacturer.
Prior to this, Erik worked with large international companies such as ABB, ITT Corporation and Metso Automation where his responsibilities included the supply of process equipment to the chemical and petrochemical industry.
Peter Wells is Pro-Dean of Public Value at Cardiff Business School, the Director of the Centre for Automotive Industry Research, and a Professor of Business and Sustainability. He is also active in the Cardiff University Electric Vehicle Centre of Excellence. His research and publishing interests are primarily focused on socio-technical transitions in the global automotive industry, mobility studies including electric bicycles and car-sharing, and on sustainable business models in the circular economy.
Jim Holder is the Editorial Director of Haymarket Automotive, which publishes Autocar, Car Accessory Trader, Classic & Sports Car and What Car?, and as such has a hands-on view on every aspect of car ownership and buying. He's a former editor of Autocar and What Car?, a regular on the BBC and other television channels on all topics relating to motoring, and was formerly the Formula 1 correspondent for The Daily Telegraph, Reuters and the Daily Star.
Mark is a journalist with more than a decade of top-level experience in the automotive industry. He first joined Autocar in 2009, having previously worked in local newspapers. He has held several roles at Autocar, including news editor, deputy editor, digital editor and his current position of editor, one he has held since 2017.
From this position he oversees all of Autocar’s content across the print magazine, autocar.co.uk website, social media, video, and podcast channels, as well as our recent launch, Autocar Business. Mark regularly interviews the very top global executives in the automotive industry, telling their stories and holding them to account, meeting them at shows and events around the world.
Mark is a Car of the Year juror, a prestigious annual award that Autocar is one of the main sponsors of. He has made media appearances on the likes of the BBC, and contributed to titles including What Car?, Move Electric and Pistonheads, and also writes a regular column for The Sun.
He graduated from Norton College in Sheffield in 2008 with an NCTJ journalism qualification.
