Lex Kerssemakers leads the global commercial structure at Volvo, covering all sales operations, online business expansion, marketing and brand management, while also responsible for both HQ capabilities and regional deliveries. He is leading the commercial transformation globally, in which Volvo Cars is implementing new ways to reach consumers together with its retail partners: changing what, how and where cars and services are sold.
Lex has a fundamental understanding of product strategy, purchasing, sales and marketing and has led international teams in the UK, Germany, Sweden, Netherlands and the US. He has served under Swedish, US and Chinese ownership, aligning shareholder and customer perspectives. Lex has been a member of the Executive Management Team of Volvo Car Group during 2004-2008 and also since August 2010.
